Currently, there are some advices given by university authority in light of recent development of COVID infections.

Advices are to:

  • Use Mask to cover your nose and mouth.
  • Don’t touch your eyes, nose, and face without washing your hands.
  • Use your arm / tissues / cloths to cover while sneezing.

About the Venue

The YouthMappers Bangladesh Summit 2025 will be hosted at Patuakhali Science and Technology University (PSTU), a leading agricultural university in southern Bangladesh. Nestled in the coastal district of Patuakhali, PSTU’s serene 109.97 acres campus features modern facilities, lush greenery, and a commitment to sustainability.

  • TSC Conference Room: A 300+ capacity main hall for keynote sessions.
  • Auditorium: A 250+ capacity secondary hall for other sessions.
  • Seminar Halls: 5 well-equipped halls (50+ capacity each) for workshops.
  • Classrooms: 10+ air-conditioned rooms for breakout sessions.
  • Accommodation: On-campus dormitories for 500+ participants (gender-segregated).
  • Dining: Multiple canteens serving affordable local cuisine.
  • Open Spaces: Gardens and courtyards ideal for networking and mapathons.

How to Get There

From Dhaka to PSTU (≈320 km):

By Road:

  • Direct buses from Dhaka’s Sayedabad Terminal to Lebukhali (Patuakhali) (6 hours).
  • From Lebukhali, local transport (auto-rickshaws/buses) to PSTU (15 minutes).

By Air + Road:

  • Fly from Dhaka to Barisal Airport (50 mins).
  • Reach Barisal City.
  • Follow Barisal to PSTU.

By Waterway (Scenic Route):

  • Launch from Dhaka to Barisal Patuakhali (overnight).
  • Follow Barisal to PSTU or Patuakhali to PSTU.

From Barisal to PSTU (≈35 km):

By Bus:

  • Take a local transport to Rupatoli Bus Terminal.
  • Take a bus to Dumki (PSTU) or University Square (also known as Pagla’r Mor) (1-1.5 hours).
  • From University Square, local transport (auto-rickshaws/Mahendra) to PSTU (15 minutes).

From Patuakhali to PSTU (≈15 km):

By Bus:

  • Take a local transport (auto-rickshaws/Rickshaws) to Patuakhali Bus Terminal.
  • Take a bus to University Square (also known as Pagla’r Mor).
  • From University Square, local transport (auto-rickshaws/Mahendra) to PSTU (15 minutes).

By Auto-rickshaws:

  • Take a local transport to Chourasta (Patuakhali).
  • Take an auto-rickshaw to PSTU.

Accommodation

On-Campus (Priority for Attendees):

  • Dormitories: Rooms (3–4 beds) with shared bathrooms.
    • Male: University Halls.
    • Female: Universeity Halls.
  • Guest Rooms: Limited private rooms (early booking recommended).

Off-Campus (Patuakhali Town):

  • Free shuttle buses will run between town and campus during the summit.
